| | | Dear Sir or Madam,
| |
| |
| | What’s “the next big thing”, where’s the next big idea right now? Companies such as IBM, Lufthansa Systems, and Siemens have charted a new path in innovation management alongside the traditional top-down methods. They use internal enterprise crowdfunding to foster and implement ideas from their organization’s core, i.e., from their employees. As Professor of Digital Economy at Kühne Logistics University (KLU) I carry out research on this topic. And I’ve interviewed managers about internal crowdfunding. The results were largely very positive; here is the article. For further reading, I would like to recommend our company interview with the Head of Idea Management at the Lufthansa Group. We’re convinced – good idea management pays. Things get even more interesting when you know how to use your data to generate value. So you would like to know how digital technologies help your company become more innovative and productive? Let’s talk. I look forward to your e-mail. Further topics: the Zukunft.DE project closure promising an eco-friendly last mile thanks to e-transporters. Also in this issue: What’s new and exciting in our new research group on food supply chains. Last but not least, this year KLU bids farewell to you with many good wishes in this video. Wishing you joyous holidays and plenty of good ideas, Dr. Christina Raasch Professor of Digital Economy Guest Editor P.S.: Sustainability management needs good ideas, too. Be sure to get your fill in our new SuMO certificate program – early booking discount thru 15/12.

| | | Project Zukunft.DE: Delivery via E-Mobility Could already Work | |
| |
| | CEP service providers, wait no more: e-mobility can work, for suppliers, too. A study by Prof. Asvin Goel and Dr. Stoffen Pottel indicates as much – it was part of the recently concluded project, Zukunft.DE and funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. One condition, however, would be for municipalities to ensure bookable charging times at public charging points. This would extend e-vehicles’ range and delivery routes. Dr. Steffen Pottel explains more about the project in this video...
